This fabric shouted "buy me and make a bike friendly skirt!" It is the very first item I made when I decided to be a fashion designer! It is from Japan and I used ideas from Samurai costumes for design elements.
Check out this show from Celine's spring collection. It blew me away! I just love all the shapes and the beginning is especially a nod to Spain. I love all the holes, straps, the crazy purses, everything!
This week I've been finishing up my kids line which is extremely experimental, mainly because I have no kids of my own and have no idea what they like. I got a basic commercial pattern to guide my way in terms of sizing.
So far my line has a top: (the bottom looks crooked, but I think it's just the photo.)

We went to see the Rufus Wainwright concert last night and I wore my dress. It was so comfy and I felt really elegant! Here it is on the dress form:

It was the most adorable Japanese print fabric and I had to have it. I called it camping bears shirt and I found a cute brown leather button for it. I may or may not use it for kids styles but what's done is done, I made an adult shirt out of it...what's a little temptation?
